Ann “Pooh” Elizabeth (Roddy) Prezioso, 55, beloved wife of Robert “Bobby from the Bronx” Prezioso, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2017 after a sudden illness. Born in Meriden on March 19, 1962, she was the daughter of the late John and Rita (Crothers) Roddy. Miss Ann was an amazing child care provider at the Carriage House Day Care for the last 24 years. She touched the lives of hundreds of children and it was truly her passion. Everyone that knew Ann will remember her great sense of humor and love for life. She was taken too soon but will be forever in our hearts. Besides her husband of 19 years, she is survived by her sister Jane (Roddy) Swiatek and her husband Jim, a brother Christopher Roddy and his wife Susan, a brother-in-law Dr. Ralph Prezioso and his wife Donna, and a sister-in-law Doreen Roddy. She is also survived by her adored nieces; Kate (Roddy) Cilia, Ellen Roddy, Lauren (Prezioso) Picone and Laura Swiatek, nephews; Michael and Patrick Swiatek and Matthew Prezioso, great-nieces, Elizabeth and Nicole Cilia, a great-nephew Landon Picone, closest lifelong friend, Tricia Dickson and by aunts and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother Jim “Rookie” Roddy and parents-in-law, Ralph and Justine (Moretti) Prezioso Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, Mt. Carmel Campus, 109 Goodwill Avenue, Meriden. Everyone is asked to gather directly at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden on Wednesday, September 27th from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers and because of her love for children, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
