Biagio Gionfriddo

Biagio R. Gionfriddo, 86, husband of the devoted and caring wife of sixty years, Norma J. (Cuccaro) Gionfriddo, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Middletown on October 13, 1930, he was the son of the late Mike and Anna Gionfriddo. Mr. Gionfriddo was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. B G will be lovingly remembered always by his family. Besides his wife Norma, he is survived by two loving and devoted sons, Barry and Michael Gionfriddo; one grandson, Hunter Gionfriddo; two sisters, Louise Cuccaro and Doreen Ostepcheck and one brother, Carmelo Gionfriddo. He was predeceased by a sister, Marie Cowan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 12 noon at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden. Burial with military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service from 11 to 12 p.m.
