C. Eugene Mosher

C. Eugene “Gene” Mosher, 89, husband of Mary Louise (Snow) Mosher, died on Friday, April 26, 2013 at MidState Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Titusville, PA on October 28,1923, he was the son of the late Adam and Dorothy (Savard) Mosher. He resided in Meriden most of his life and graduated from Amherst College with a B.A. in history. Mr. Mosher owned The W.A. Kelsey Company in Meriden and he was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Air Corps. He was a board member of The United Way of Meriden/Wallingford, Meriden YMCA, Bradley Home, and Meriden / Wallingford Hospital – MidState Medical Center. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Adam Mosher of Meriden and Benjamin (Cathryn Gunther) Mosher of Harleysville, PA, and three grandchildren, Graham, Isabel, and Alistair Mosher. He is also survived by three nieces. He was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Powell and Mary Jane Davis. The funeral will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to The United Way of Meriden – Wallingford, 35 Pleasant Street, Meriden, CT 06450. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450
