Joseph Tyler Drag, 25, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 at home and into God’s hands with his loving family by his side. Born in Beaverton, Oregon on April 12, 1992, he is the son of Wladyslaw and Karmen Drag. Joey grew up in South Meriden and graduated from Platt High School and Porter and Chester Institute. Joey was a very kind hearted son with a smile that would light up the room. His humor was unmatched, would make anyone happy or laugh no matter the day they were having. He loved to play video games and play basketball any chance he could get. He grew up rooting for the New York Yankees and New England Patriots. He loved hanging out with his brother and sister any chance he could get. His love for family and friends was untouched by anyone. Joey truly had the biggest heart in the world and always put everyone else’s needs before his own. His heart was pure and huge, he loved unconditionally. Joey is going to be missed by his family more then anyone will ever know. He was our rock and even though he was the youngest, he was the strongest. He was so special and always made everything brighter. Now Joey is laying in Gods arms smiling down giving his family the best guardian angel anyone can have. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Tera Boyce and his brother, Derek Drag. The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 21th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, Mount Carmel Campus, 109 Goodwill Ave., Meriden, CT 06451 for a Mass of Christian Burial. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home 88 E.
