Alexander Szabados

Alexander Szabados, Sr., age 71, of Milford, passed away in his home on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. He was born on November 20, 1941 in Novajidran, Hungary to the late Sandor and Borbala Vilmanyi Szabados. Before retiring, he was employed as a tool machinist for Hiem Universal. An active and loved member of the community, he was a member of the Hungarian Club in Wallingford, a former Milford Soccer and Baseball coach and enjoyed league bowling. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he will be sadly missed. Mr. Szabados is survived by his devoted wife Gabriella Barabas Szabados, son Alexander Szabados Jr. of North Carolina, daughter Erika Fowler of New Hampshire, sisters Olga Szilagyi and Sarolta Baranyi and grandchildren Angelica Marie Valletta, Tasha D. Fowler, Aleaha N. Fowler, Samantha Evans, Bryson Noah Szabados and he was looking forward to his first great grandchild. Calling hours are Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 5 to 7pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A prayer service will be held during the calling hours at 6:30pm. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in his name to the HHC Club, 147 Ward St., Wallingford, CT 06492.
