Alfred E. DiNapoli Sr., age 95, of Milford, died December 6, 2011 in Milford Health Care. Alfred was the beloved husband of 68 years to the late Dorothea Guilfoyle DiNapoli., who past away almost a year ago to the day. He was born in New York City on October 17, 1916, son of the late Pasquale & Mary Francis Bongo DiNapoli. He was a longtime resident of the Bronx and Yonkers before recently moving to Milford. Alfred was a graduate of Manhattan College and received a Bachelors Degree in Science. He was a decorated Army Air Force Veteran of WWII, twice recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. Mr. DiNapoli was a retired Deputy Clerk for the New York State Supreme Court, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Past Commander of the New York Supreme Court American Legion Post 1062, and Past President of the New York Catholic Court Attachés Guild. Survivors include his devoted sons, Alfred E. Jr. and his wife Susan and Don and his wife Anne Sheehy and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces & nephews and great grand nieces & nephews. Calling hours will be held Wednesday December 14, 2011 in the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St. Milford from 4-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday at 11:00 am directly in St. Mary Church Milford. Interment will be private.
