Alice Brancato McDougall, of Milford, age 68 passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in Milford Hospital. Born Alice Gmitter on November 21, 1941 in Bridgeport to the late John Gmitter and Dorothy Marchlinski Vigue. Alice was a dedicated employee of Avco Lycoming and B.F. Goodrich for many years and was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary 7788 of Devon. She is survived by her loving children, Irene Vanco Collins of New Hartford, N.Y., Christy Vanco Clarke of Ellington, CT., and George Vanco of Columbia, SC, step-son Michael Brancato of Clifton, Virginia, grandchildren Jennifer & Kristen Collins, Tina & Ernie Pagano and Erica Clarke, a brother Bruce Bousquet of Lakeland, FL, and sister Mary-Ann Nichols of Milford , several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by an infant son Frederick Peter Vanco and step-father Donald Vigue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday June 5, 2010 at 1:00 PM directly in St. Gabriel’s Church Milford. Interment will be private. The arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford.
