Amelia F. Franko, age 92, of Milford, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 in Milford Health Care Center. She was born on October 10, 1921 in Bayonne, NJ to the late Steven and Amelia Chapinski Gestaut. Amelia was a former employee of Remington Arms in Bridgeport. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her family was her pride and joy. Mrs. Franko is survived by her sons Robert Franko and his wife Sheila of Milford and Gregory Franko and his wife Karen of Fairfield, grandchildren Kristen, Ryan, Kaitlin, Brittany, Meghan, Travis and Leah and great grandson Mason. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband John Franko and daughter Claudia Franko-Germain. Calling hours are Friday, May 2, 2014 from 9am to 10:30am at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning following the calling hours at 11am in St. Agnes Church, Merwin Ave., Milford. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Stratford.
