Ann "Annie" Urbanowicz

Ann Dorothy Urbanowicz, age 89, of Milford, died peacefully at home, on Sunday, April 1, 2007. She was born on February 12, 1918, in Bridgeport to the late George and Ida Sirocky Potocky. Before retiring, she was a bookkeeper for Howlands in Bridgeport. Mrs. Urbanowicz is survived by her devoted children Vincent Urbanowicz of Milford, Judith Barrett of Middlebury, Richard Urbanowicz of Bethany, Marianne Galt of Laguna Hills, CA, and Cheryl Birdsall of Orange, sister Frances Potocky of Bridgeport, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband Vincent Urbanowicz, sister Edith Christy and brothers Frank and George Potocky. Calling hours are Wednesday, April 4, 2007, from 9 to 10am, at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. After the calling hours a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am in Christ the Redeemer, W. Rutland Rd., Milford. Interment will take place in Kings Highway Cemetery following the Mass. Donations may be made in her name to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
