Ann Leslie Cosenza Hallberg entered into eternal rest of Saturday, November 21, 2009, after complications from a short illness. Born, July 1, 1959, Ann is the beloved wife of Stephen V. Hallberg of Milford, CT and devoted and loving Mother of Robert Stephen Hallberg. She attended St. Francis School and Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven and graduated from Paier School of Art. Before devoting herself to her family, Ann was the art director of Gannett Outdoor formerly in New Haven. She also did freelance calligraphy for the Knights of Columbus and also worked for a time at the Casablancas Modeling Agency. She was a volunteer for many activities at The Country School in Madison and Hamden Hall Country Day School and also gave of her time for two years as an art teacher for the Helen Street School in Hamden. She is the daughter of Anthony and Yolanda (Carrillo) Cosenza of Branford, CT, and leaves behind four siblings, Nancy Nussbaum (Michael) of Guilford, CT, Alan Cosenza (Susan) of Milford, CT, Mary Cosenza Antonczak (Michael) of San Jose, CA and Christine Cosenza of Branford, CT and a god-daughter and niece, Sarah Tortora of Guilford, CT. She is the daughter-in-law of Victor Hallberg of North Haven, CT and the late Shirley Hallberg and sister-in-law of Christopher Hallberg (Desiree) of Madison, Jon Hallberg of Gales Ferry, CT and Deborah Hallberg Symanovich (Steve) of San Francisco, CA. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Ann will be tremendously missed by her wonderful and supportive friends as well as her beloved pets, Chester, Tillie and Winston. The family is grateful for the loving care she received at Yale New Haven Hospital on the 9th and 7th floors. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Milford on Wednesday November 25, 2009 at 10:30 am. Friends and family should go directly to the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Theresa Society of the Little Flower, 1313 Frontage Rd., Darien, Ill. 60559.
