Arthur Robert Lucke, age 73, of Milford passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010 in Milford Hospital. He was born on September 15, 1936 to the late Arthur and Olivia Clark Lucke Sr. He proudly served in the US Army and the US Reserves as a “MP”. Active in the community, Art was a former Milford police officer, US Postal service employee and as a self employed industrial sales representative. In retirement, he served as Treasurer for the Milford Kiwanis Club a member of the Milford Elks and the Milford Men's club. Mr. Lucke is survived by his loving wife, Diane Sommers Lucke, devoted children Linda Fazzina and her husband George of West Hartford, Kyle Lucke and his wife Monica of Fairfield and Robert Lucke and his wife Sherry of Milford, stepmother Ada W. Lucke of Milford, brother George Lucke and his wife Helen of Naples, FL and grandchildren Alexandra, Grace, Kevin, Avery and Mikayla and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 4 to 6 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Christ the Redeemer, 325 Oronoque Rd., Milford at 10am. Interment will be private.
