Barbara Joan (Bloom) Nangia, age 82, of Orange, passed away in her home on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. The loving wife of Madan Nangia, she was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on January 5, 1931 to the late Valentine and Anna (Irato) Bloom. Barbara graduated from the Jewish Hospital of Brooklyn School of Nursing and received her Bachelor of Science at St. Francis College. She worked for the medical unit in the United States Postal Service until her retirement. In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her daughter Kiran A. Nangia of Orange, her son-in-law Lance Blomberg of Madison, her sister Beverly (Leonard) Thomas of Sacremento, CA and her grandson Alexander Nangia Blomberg of Orange. She was predeceased by her sister Gloria V. Daga. A Memorial Service will be held at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford on Saturday May 4th at 9am. Friends may call at the funeral home for calling hours, Monday April 29th from 5-8pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her adored grandson Alexander Nangia Blomberg for his 529 college savings acct
