Beverly Keeler Obituary

Beverly Keeler, age 81, of Milford, beloved wife for 49 years of the late Donald H. Keeler, passed away peacefully at CT Hospice of Branford, on Thursday, May 18, 2006, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Ansonia, to the late Girard Lines and Anita Miner Clemons. She graduated from Adelphi University and taught elementary school in Savannah, Georgia and Woodbridge, Connecticut. She married Donald H. Keeler in 1949; he predeceased her in 1998.For many years Beverly was an active member of the DAR, Milford Garden Club, the Woodbridge Congregational Church and the First United Church of Christ, Congregational in Milford. Beverly and her husband owned the Keeler Travel Agency in Milford and spent many years traveling all over the world. She was most recently a volunteer at Milford Hospital and the Milford Red Cross. Beverly is survived by her three devoted sons and their families: Girard H. Keeler and his wife Hali of Groton; Donald T. Keeler of Milford; and Robert A. Keeler and his wife Judy of Milford. She also leaves four grandchildren, Emily Keeler of Cambridge, MA; and Ryan, Justin and Amanda Keeler all of Milford. A memorial service will be held at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford, on Friday, May 26, 2006 at 11am. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
