Bruce Edward “Skip” Nabors, age 54, a lifelong Milford resident, passed away after a long illness, in West River Health Care on Friday, January 13, 2017. He was born on August 1, 1962 to the late Robert and Patricia Jackson Nabors. An extremely talented self-employed custom carpenter and builder, he was known by many around the area for his master craftsmanship. Bruce’s spirit is carried on by his loving wife, of 24 years, Traci Coyle Nabors, devoted daughters Victoria Nabors and Brooke Nabors all of Milford, sister Susan Braisted (Todd) of Mahwah, NJ, brothers Frederick Heisler (Linda) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Mark Nabors (Denise) of North Haven and many adored nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and extended family of friends. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers Robert, Christopher and Michael Nabors. “His gift of music with his vocal and guitar talents will live on with his spirit.” Calling hours are Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 18th at 11 am. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford.
