Calvin Hugins

Calvin F. Hugins, age 80, of Hamden, formerly of Milford, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Saint Raphael Hospital. Born in New Haven on October 7, 1935 he was the son of the late Hollis Hugins and Amy Farnham Hugins. Calvin proudly served in the U.S. National Guard. An antique car collector and enthusiast, he also served as a master judge for the Buick Car Club of America. He was a member of many antique car organizations and was employed as a parts manager for a Buick Car Dealership before retirement. Calvin is survived by his sister Miriam Mills of Milford, niece Lori Rapuano and her husband Joseph of East Granby, great-niece Amy Godiksen, great-nephew David Rapuano, and friends Daniel Spare, Eric Brelsford, Scott Renson, Kevin Donohue, Anne Poor. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Milford Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
