Catherine Thomson Gunther of 78 Carrington Avenue, Milford died peacefully in her home on May 6, 2008. Born in Springfield, MA on May 19, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Annie Thomson. She was the widow of John C. Gunther. She is survived by her two daughters, Cathie Gunther Pishal of Milford and Joan Hamilton and her husband William of Naperville, IL.She was predeceased by a sister Ann Haupt of Milford, CT and a brother William "Bill" Thomson of Jupiter, FL. She is survived by two grandchildren, Catherine Ann Pishal of Milford and William Robert Hamilton III of Hoffman Estates, IL. and six great grandchildren. She had been an active member of the Milford Hospital Auxiliary,The Milford Garden Club and was a life member of the Milford Yacht Club where her husband was a past Commodore. The family would like to thank Jennifer Smith for her care and devotion to Catherine these past months.
