Clara Marklinsky

Clara Elizabeth Marklinsky, age 85, of Milford passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 in Milford Hospital. She was born on August 3, 1934 in Milford to the late George and Irma Kassay Vernon. Before returning to Milford eight years ago, she previously lived a short period in Vermont before spending most of her life in Pennsylvania. A devoted wife, she spent lots of time traveling along with her husband, who was a truck driver, on the roads of America. In her spare time, she will be remembered for her devotion to her chihuahuas, sometime she had as many as eleven at one time, along with her knitting and crocheting. Mrs. Marklinsky is survived by her daughter Dawn, brother Jack Vernon, nephew Jackie Towne and good friend William Finch. Besides her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sister Dorothy Towne. All services are private and are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. Interment will take place in Wells Cemetery in Canaan, NH, beside her late husband Edward Marklinsky in the spring.
