Clifford Johnson

Clifford Lyman Johnson, age 68, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the West Haven Veterans Hospital. He was born on February 11, 1949 in Bridgeport to Helen Caplankas Johnson and the late Lyman P Johnson, Jr. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War as a pediatric nurse. Before retiring, he was employed as an assembler for Schick for many years. Cliff will be remembered for his artistic ability, reading, and gardening. Along with his loving mother, he is survived by brother Kenneth B Johnson (Kathleen) of New Haven, sister Linda Helen Fike (John W III) of Westbrook, sister-in-law Denise Johnson of Naugatuck and several nieces and nephews. Beside his father, he is predeceased by his brother Richard F. Johnson. Calling hours are Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 9am to Noon at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A prayer service will be held during the visitation with funeral military honors. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to The Wounded Warrior Project.
