Deacon George Anthony Puskas, age 74, of Milford , died Monday January 27, 2014 in Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born in East Lyme, CT January 11, 1940. George was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft 21 Years and retired in 1999. He proudly served in the United States Army. George was ordained as a permanent deacon June 27, 1980 by then Archbishop John F. Whealon and served St. Mary’s Parish for twenty years. He later served at Christ The Redeemer and most recently in St. Gabriel’s Church in Milford. He is survived by a sister Gloria Brennan of Northampton, MA ., several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends including David, Jane and Melissa Moore. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Friday at 1:30 pm in St Gabriel’s Church Milford. Interment will be private.
