Dee Harriman

Dee I. (Shanahan) Harriman, age 75, of Milford, past on peacefully Thursday, April 12, 2007 in Milford Hospital. She was born in Amsterdam, N.Y, daughter of the late Arthur Shanahan and Victoria (Opalka) Kropkowski. Mrs. Harriman worked as a Travel Consultant for several years and was very active serving as Past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile, Past Worthy Matron and Grand officer of Milford Eastern Star, Royal Matron, Order of Amaranth. She enjoyed travel and singing and was a member of the Milford Seniors Gospel Choir. Mrs. Harriman is survived by her husband of 33 years, Robert W. Harriman Sr., two daughters Karen and her husband Dennis Cooper of Duanesburg, N.Y. Celeste Lynch of West Columbia, TX., three grandchildren Abby Cooper,Jennifer Lynch, Matthew and his wife (Karyn) Lynch.Four great grandchildren, a Sister-In-Law Francoise Jones of Stratford, NH. She was predeceased by a grandson Jason Lynch. Calling hours will be held Sunday April15th from 4-7pm at the Smith Funeral Home 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday April 16th at 10:30 am in St Gabriel Church. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104 or the Masonic Charity Foundation 22 Masonic Ave. P.O. Box 70 Wallingford, CT 06492.
