Dolores also leaves behind her brother, Kenneth Block, and sister-in-law Gloria; as well as in laws Dorothy and Rocco Mondo; Valerie and Charles Pelizza; and five nieces and nephews.

Dolores was born in Englewood, New Jersey in 1930 to Mae (LeConte) and Francis Block. She was a
devout communicant of Holy Infant Church where she was involved in the Ladies’ Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at Milford Hospital, the Orange Convalescent Home, and the Afghan Group at the Senior Center in Orange. In addition, she enjoyed traveling to Europe and throughout the United States, including the many winters she spent on Jupiter Island, Florida.

She graduated from West Haven High School in 1947 and worked in the insurance industry before
becoming a full-time homemaker to her adoring husband of 59 years and her seven children. Her
greatest joy was spending time with them and hosting family get-togethers. Her faith, amazing strength, and ability to see the good in everyone are attributes for which she will always be remembered. Dolores will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 13th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad Street, Milford.
