Dolphyce Caswell

Dolphyce (“Dolly”) Virginia Caswell, age 96, of Milford, beloved wife of George E. Caswell Jr. for 65 years, passed away on Friday August 7, 2009 in Bishop Wicke Health Care of Shelton. She was born on December 22, 1912 in Boston, MA, to the late George B. and Edna Davis Tebbetts. Mrs. Caswell was a graduate of Becker College and majored in accounting. She worked for City National Bank of Bridgeport and U.S. Motors of Milford, many years until her retirement. She was a longtime volunteer of Milford Hospital, American Red Cross and the First United Church of Christ, of which she was a fifty year member. Survivors in addition to her husband, include a son, John Caswell and his wife Wendy of Silver Spring, MD, a daughter, Candace Caswell of Hamden, a granddaughter Valerie Caswell and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday August 25, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions on behalf of Dolly to: Wesley Village Garden/ Bishop Wicke, United Methodist Homes. 580 Long Hill Ave. Shelton, CT 06484.
