Edward Zovinka age 69, of Orange, passed away in Griffin Hospital Derby on Sunday, December 16, 2007. He was born in Manhattan, New York on November 21, 1938 to Mary Guglava Zovinka and the late Paul Zovinka. He was a graduate of New York University with a BA in History. Mr. Zovinka worked as an Executive Sales Representative for Hygrade Business Group , was a longtime manager of Saks Fifth Avenue and a prior employee of the JTC Corporation. Mr. Zovinka enjoyed spending time in Cape Cod and was an automobile enthusiast. He was a member of the Orange Masonic Lodge # 143, Trinity Lutheran Church of Milford and the Slovak Lutheran Church of New York. Mr. Zovinka is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Anna O. Planavsky Zovinka, three sons, John E. and Sandy Zovinka of Bethany, Edward P. and Rose Zovinka of Duncansville, PA. And Christopher R. Zovinka of Orange, his mother Mary G. Zovinka and brother Robert Zovinka both of Middletown, NY. , two grandchildren, Edward A. and Shane P. Zovinka. Calling hours are Thursday, December 20, 2007 from 4 to 7pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. Friends and family are invited to meet directly at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, December 21st at 12 noon for a Memorial Service. Burial will be private in Orange Center Cemetery.
