Evelyn Esther Lancia Gritsko, age 89, of Bridgeport, formerly of Milford, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Jewish Senior Services in Bridgeport. She was born on October 1, 1927 to the late Bert and Doris Fischer Lancia in Bridgeport. A dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her loving children Diane Marshall of Milford, Francis Gritsko (Isabel Larruscain) of Milford and Christine Libby (Lenn) of Milford, grandchildren James Hutchinson (Patricia), Christopher Hutchinson (Rachel), Lauren DeSantis (Jeff), Amaia Gritsko, Mikel Gritsko and Maite Gritsko and great grandchildren Aiden, Julien, Brayden, Arthur, Ava and Allie. Beside her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband Francis M. Gritsko and brother Bert Lancia. Calling hours are Friday, June 23, 2017 from 5pm to 7pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 24th at St. Ann’s Church, 501 Naugatuck Ave, Milford at 9am. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery.
