Frances Rindos

Frances Filanowski Rindos, age 93, a life-long resident of Milford , passed away on Saturday May 3, 2014 in West River Health Care of Milford. She was the beloved wife of the late John Rindos. One of eight children, she was born on April 27, 1921 in Milford to the late Mark and Victoria Wachnicka Filanowski. A devoted homemaker, Frances was a member of Christ The Redeemer Ladies Guild, many people will remember her and sister Mary from the Christmas Bazaar. One of her greatest passions was sewing. She especially loved to make Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for friends and family. She leaves a daughter Dorothy, wife of Edward J. Kozlowski of Milford, two great-grandsons, Steven Langley of Hebron, CT., and George Vlad of New Hampshire, two great-great grandchildren, Cheyenne and Finn Langley of Hebron, a brother Mark Filanowski of Milford and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, parents and siblings, she is predeceased by a granddaughter Dolly Kahl. Calling hours are Tuesday May 6, 2014 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 in Christ The Redeemer Church, Milford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Christ The Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Rd., Milford, CT 06461.
