Francis Joseph Farrington, age 80, of Bethany, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Arden House in Hamden. He was born on February 2, 1932 in Waterbury to the late Leo and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick Farrington. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a 1st Lieutenant and retired from the Eagles Nest Inc. Frank served the Catholic Church for many years. He served ten years in the Marriage and Family Apostolate (CANA) and became Chairman of the Archdiocesan Family Life Council and four years in the Charismatic Renewal Office Board of Consulters. He also served as a promoter and liaison for many nationally and internationally known Christian speakers, singers and musical groups throughout New England. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his loving wife Joan Shelton DuCharme Farrington, children David Farrington of Middletown, CT, Mary Ellen Mitsianis of West Haven, Kathleen Farrington of Bethany, Patrick Farrington of Fort Collins, CO., and Senior Master Sergeant Mark Farrington USAF of Cheshire and six grandchildren. Calling hours are Monday, March 26, 2012 from 5 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 27th at 10am DIRECTLY in the St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Rd. (Route 63), Naugatuck, CT Interment will follow in Mt.
