Frank J. Zaczkowski, age 80, formerly of Milford, died peacefully at his Henderson, North Carolina home on February 7, 2010. He was born on July 22, 1929, to the late Peter and Nellie Zigmont Zaczkowski. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Dorothy Wise Zaczkowski.Frank was a resident of Milford for 77 years before moving to North Carolina. Prior to his retirement in 1991, Frank was the Automotive Technology Department Head at Platt Technical High School in Milford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Paul Anderson-Zaczkowski (Beth), Glen Zaczkowski (Dale) all of Milford; Lynn Danehy (Tim) of Henderson, NC, eight loving grandchildren: Adam, Aaron, Ethan, Brittney, Zachary, Reed, Callie and Gillian. In addition to his parents, a daughter, Dorothy, and his nine siblings predecease him. Calling hours will be Thursday, February 11, 2010, from 4 to 8 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 12, 2010, at 10:30 AM at Christ the Redeemer Church, Milford. Interment will be private.
