Gerald Robert Silver age 72, beloved husband of Doreen P. Amann Silver, passed away in St. Raphael Hospital on Friday, November 15, 2013. Gerald was born in Bridgeport November 10, 1941, son of the late Stanley and Wanda Weiner Silver. He was a retired engineer for Avco Lycoming. Gerald was a member of Milford Elks Lodge #1589 and enjoyed golf, clamming, cooking and vacations. In addition to his wife , he is survived by his children Jay (Seton) Silver of Brookfield, Tim (Melissa) Silver of Milford, Amy (Stephen) Mikulski of Tolland and Mark Silver of Milford, honorary daughter Nicole (Jimmy) Wilhelm of Milford and two brother in laws, Jim (Teri) Amann and Paul (Kathy) Amann both of Milford, eight cherished grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Stanley. Calling hours will be held Monday November 18th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. Prayer service will be held during the visitation at 7:30 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aim For A Cure, 14 Pinehurst Place Middletown, CT 06457.
