Irene Dufresne, 97, of Stratford, departed this life on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at The Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield, CT. Irene was born on July 7, 1908 in Woonsocket, RI daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Roy) Cadorette. She worked for many years as a cook for the Woolworth Department Store. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Frances "Fran" Varcoe of Stratford and her beloved grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at Precious Blood Cemetery in Rhode Island. Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
