Irene Kane

. Irene Susan Kane, age 89, of Milford and West Haven passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in Paradigm Healthcare in West Haven. She was born on September 29, 1926 to the late William and Susan Hrosik May in Bridgeport. Before retiring, she was employed by Chance Vaught as part of the office staff. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her daughter Diane Smith and her husband John of Milford, son Brian Kane and his wife Martha of New Hampshire, brother William May of Massachusetts, grandchildren Brandon, Jarrett, Justin and Emma, great granddaughter Laura Angelina and several nieces and nephews. Beside her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband James I. Kane. Calling hours are Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 8:30am to 10:00am at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated after the visitation at 10:30am in St. Gabriel’s Church, Broadway, Milford. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery.
