Irene Sobin
Irene Sobin, age 91, of Milford, the wife of the late Joseph Sobin, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2008, in Milford Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1916, in Bridgeport. A life long area resident, she was employed by Remington in Bridgeport, Robert Shaw and Alinabal in Milford before retiring. In her spare time, she enjoyed the Milford Senior Center especially the Gospel Choir and Puppetiers. Mrs. Sobin is survived by her devoted sons Roger L. Csugi and William J. Csugi both of Milford, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is also predeceased by her first husband Joseph Csugi, brother Bill Szarka and sister Matilda Kasinski. Calling hours are Wednesday, March 19, 2008, from 5 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 20th at the funeral home at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.Obituary
