Isabelle S. McCarvill, age 90, of Milford passed away in Bridgeport Hospital on Saturday, March 29, 2008. She was born on November 17, 1917 to the late Andrew and Eleanor S. Bodnar Sulik and was the beloved wife of the late John Edward McCarvill Sr. She was an Assistant to the Director of Medical Education at Bridgeport Hospital . Mrs. McCarvill was a charter member of the Milford Professional Woman’s League and was active at the Milford Senior Center . Survivors include two sons John “Jay” Edward and his wife Margaret “Marge” B. McCarvill of Milford, Richard Lee and his wife Janis McCarvill of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a brother Alexander Bodnar of Fort Edward, New York, five grandchildren John Edward McCarvill III of Tilton, NH., Michael B. McCarvill of Milford, Douglas E. McCarvill of Colchester, Christopher L. McCarvill of Plymouth and Peter McCarvill of Los Angeles, CA., five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday April 1, 2008, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St. , Milford . Service will be held Wednesday in the funeral home at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Milford Cemetery . Donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
