James F. Borges, age 66, of Milford, passed away in Bridgeport Hospital on Sunday, June 22, 2014. He was born on July 26, 1947 in Fall River, MA to the late James and Nora Amaral Borges. He was employed in the sales department of Intec Corp for many years. A dedicated husband, father, brother and grandfather, he will be remembered for his love of fishing and the Boston Red Sox. Mr. Borges is survived by his devoted wife Linda Ridolfi Borges, children Robert Borges of Milford and Jason Borges and his wife Becca of Brooklyn, sisters Gayle DiPreta and her husband James of Monroe and Cheryl Baron and her husband James of California, grandchildren Alexander Borges of Danvers, MA and Amelie Borges of Brooklyn, NY and nephew James Borges DiPreta of Monroe. Beside his parents, he is predeceased by his son Todd Borges. Calling hours are Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 10:00am to 11:30am at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the calling hours at 12:00 noon in St. Gabriel’s Church, Broadway, Milford. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull.
