James Cooper, age 84, of Milford passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 in his home. He was born on February 21, 1926 in Stamford to the late William and Margaret Freeman Cooper. He was employed as an inspector for Moore Specialty Tool. James was a member and former deacon at the 1St United Church of Christ, Congregation. Friends and family will remember him as a kind, loving and caring father and grandfather. Upon retirement he enjoyed wood working in his shop, golfing and his beloved cocker spaniel Mandybear. Mr. Cooper is survived by his sons Robert W. Cooper of Milford and Gary F. Cooper and his wife Lisa of Southington, brother Robert Cooper of Bridgeport, aunt Mildred Cook of FL., and grandchildren Garrett and Shane Cooper. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Barbara Francis Cooper, son James Cooper, brother William Cooper and sister Winnifred Lynch. All funeral services are private and are being handled by the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. Donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, 2211 North Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707.
