James P. Patchell Sr., age 87, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Marion Holloran Patchell, passed away on April 11, 2013 in the West Haven Veterans Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born in New Haven, son of the late Harry and Ruth Haynes Patchell. Mr. Patchell was a decorated war veteran, serving in the United States Army during WWII and Korea. He worked for many years with Atlas Moving & Storage Co. He is survived by his son James P. Patchell Jr., and his wife Mary Ellen of Milford, a brother Ken Patchell of Hamden, grandchildren Erin Patchell of West Haven, Sean Patchell of CO., and James P. Patchell III of Milford, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son Gary Patchell. A wake will be held Monday April 15, 2013 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A prayer service will be held during the visitation.
