Janice Elaine Jesell Hoyt, age 67, resided in Milford, CT. She died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Milford Hospital hospice from complications related to Diabetes. She was born on May 18, 1947 in Bridgeport, CT. Her parents are Robert E. Jesell and the late Marjorie Shea Jesell. She leaves behind loved and lifelong friends Sharon Siegmund, Roland Siegmund Sr. and Elizabeth Soderberg. She was wed on Dec. 26th, 1997 in Milford, CT. to Richard Anthony Hoyt Sr. She was a graduate of Milford High School. Her past places of employment were; Data Switch Inc. & T-bar Inc. as a production worker, Milford Automatics Co. as a machine operator, Milford Healthcare as a Laundry Aide. She resided in Milford, CT until her death. She was an avid bingo player and loved doing arts & crafts at Milford Senior Center. She enjoyed gardening, collecting recipes, cooking and was a big fan of Dancing With The Stars. Jan’s long battle with her Diabetes kept her away a lot from doing the things that she loved. She is survived by her spouse Richard Hoyt Sr. of Milford, CT, father Robert E. Jesell of Milford, CT, sister in-law Joyce Hoyt Pagano (her spouse Richard Pagano and niece Heather Pagano) of West Haven, CT, sister in-law Florence (Sis) Hoyt and her late husband Lawrence W. Hoyt of Milford, CT and their three children, sister in-law Patricia Hoyt Anderson of Bridgeport and her six children, stepchildren Richard Hoyt Jr. (his wife Joanna Hoyt) of Prospect, CT, Ms. Lorie Hoyt Poulin of Orange, CT, Jennifer Hoyt Ceccarelli (her husband Raymond Ceccarelli) of Griswold, CT, Ms. Carlie O’Conner Garcia of Hamden, CT, and ten step- grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, 2/20/15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford, CT, 06460, 203-874-2588. Burial service will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford, CT. upon future weather permitting conditions. Memorial donation suggestions include The American Diabetes association. ~She will be remembered as a loving, caring, crafty wife and a true friend forever.
