John Andrew Fenick, age 69, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Meriden, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. He was born in Meriden on October 17, 1944, to the late Andrew and Josephine Zima Fenick. John proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, as a field medic. He received the Bronze Star with Valor and the Army Commendation Metal. He graduated with a PHD from Kansas State University. Before retiring, he was a Supervising Psychologist for the Department of Veterans Affairs. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Elks. Mr. Fenick is survived by his devoted brother James Fenick and his wife Patricia of Largo, FL and loving sister Mary Radocchio of Trumbull, CT, three nieces, a nephew and several great nieces and a great nephew. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 22, 2014 in St. Stanislaus Church, 82 Akron St., Meriden, CT. at 10:30am Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford is handling the arrangements.
