John Harman Miller, Jr., age 82, of Forest Rd., Milford, died on Saturday,
April 01, 2006, in the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven. He was born
on August 4, 1923, to the late John and Florence Dysen Miller Sr. He
served his country in the US Navy during WWII and later worked as a
special agent for the FBI for 17 years. He was employed for 30 years with
Navajo, Middle Atlantic and Specter Transportation Companies. An active
member of the community, he was past president of the Stamford and
Bridgeport Traffic Clubs, a member of the Danbury Traffic Club, past
president of the Anderson Lawn Assoc. and a member of the Milford Senior
Center. Mr. Miller is survived by his loving wife, of 60 years, Jeanette
Bortnick Miller, loving daughters Barbara Smarz, Nancy Morse and her
husband Ronald Jr. all of Milford, and Lorrie DiGiovanni of Danbury,
sister Mary Hale of Bowie, MD, grandchildren Ronald Morse III, Mathew
Morse, Sandra Morse, Thomas Smarz and Kristina Smarz and 3 great
grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is
predeceased by his sister Jane Miller. A graveside will be celebrated on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 10 am in Kings Highway Cemetery in Milford.
