John Varrone

John Varrone, age 71, of Shelton and formerly of Bridgeport, passed away on Monday, September 21,, 2009 in his home. He was born in Bridgeport on March 2, 1938, to the late Louis and Christina Pasquarella Varrone. He was employed as a trucker with Yellow Freight and Herman Isacc for many years until his retirement and was a member of Tri State Teamsters local 191. Mr. Varrone is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth “Betty” Ross Varrone, who recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. He is also survived by sons John Varrone and his wife Terry of Seymour and Thomas Varrone and his wife Christine of Shelton, daughter Lisa Romano and her husband George of Trumbull, sisters Theresa Crisante, Doris Canfield and Ann Testo, grandchildren John, Amanda, Tyler, Tommy, Ashley, Robert and Nicholas and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 4 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 24th at 10am. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove of Easton.
