Judith Weyant

Judith P. Weyant, age 67, of Milford passed away on Friday, December 4, 2009 in Milford Hospital. She was born on October 3, 1942 in New Haven to the late Richard and Elizabeth Makowit Peckham. She was a devoted and emphatic supporter of the Milford Public Library where she worked for 10 years as a library technician. She attended Berkley School of Music, was a volunteer for the National Audubon Soc., and was appointed to the Inland & Wetland Commission. Mrs. Weyant is survived by her loving husband, of 36 years, Charles T. Weyant, dedicated children Shawn Weyant of West Haven, Michael Weyant and his wife Erin of Rocky Hill and Janice Weyant of Westerly RI, brother Richard Peckham of Nova Scotia and grandchildren Emmett and Aidan Pervine. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her grandson Brian A. Bell. A gathering of friends will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 6 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in her name to the Milford Public Library, 57 New Haven Ave., Milford, CT 06460 or American Cancer Soc., 538 Preston Ave., PO Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450.
