Karl Conrad “Cliff” Lindquist, age 90, of Milford, passed away on Thursday June 27, 2013, at Milford Hospital. He was born in Sweden on April. 4, 1923 to the late Karl and Hilma (Johnson) Lindquist. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. After the service, he became a Firefighter for the Stamford Fire Dept. serving for 24 yrs. He was a member of the American Legion Post 196 in Milford. Cliff is survived by his son Larry Lindquist and his wife Anita of Darien, his grand-children; Christa, Alexis, Monique, Angie, Larry Jr., Erica, Jessica and Christopher, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his girlfriend J. Barbara Delnicki. He was predeceased by his first wife Esther Beeson, his second wife Joanne Gliffort, his sons, Donald and Michael, his brothers, Roland and Thurston and his sister Mildred. A wake & prayer service will be held Sunday June 30, 2013 from 12 noon to 4:00 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to; Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300 Jacksonville, Florida 32256 or Connecticut State Firefighter's Association, P.O. Box 9 Mansfield Center, CT 06250.
