Kathryn Ellen Kay, age 92, of Milford passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in Milford Hospital. She was born on January 1, 1916 to the late Frank and Eliza Williams Carlesimo. A Milford resident for 46 years, she was employed by the Yale University Health Center as a secretary for 25 years before retiring. An active member of the community, she was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary DAV and Milford Senior Center. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her children Kathryn E. Franzman and her husband Allen of Brookfield, Joseph W. Kay Jr. and his wife Lorraine and Brian K. Kay and his wife Cathy Rieban-Kay all of Milford, goddaughter Karan-Sue Mish of West Haven, sister Frances Callan of Monroe, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband Joseph W. Kay, Sr. and sister Lillian Magnuson. Calling hours are Monday, June 16, 2008 from 5 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 17th at 10:30am in St. Agnes Church, Merwin Ave., Milford. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
