Leatha Josephine Williams, age 96, a lifelong Milford resident, passed away on September 14, 2015 in Paradigm Healthcare in West Haven. She was born on November 7, 1918 to the late Jacob and Annie Brown Williams. Before retiring, she was employed as a hairdresser for Dottie’s Beauty Parlor. She will be remembered for singing and her devotion to her nephews & nieces. She sang in the choir for First United Church of Christ Congregational along with a variety of different organizations. Ms. Williams is survived by her nieces and nephews Charlotte Simms, Robert Richards and his wife Donna, William Richards and his wife Sandra, Lynwood Richards and his wife Michelle and Eugene Richards. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings Gladys Williams, Harold Williams, Amanda Williams, Lynwood Williams and Thaddeus Williams. Calling hours are Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 4 to 6pm with a prayer service with Rev. Adam Eckhart at 5pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private.
