Leonard Paquet

Leonard James Paquet, age 87, of Milford, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 in The West Haven Veterans Hospital. He was born on September 9, 1919, in Athol, MA., to the late James and Louise Soucie Paquet. He is the husband of the late Beatrice French Paquet. Mr. Paquet was a home builder and owner of Leonard Paquet Contractors, a former employee of Sikorsky and also worked for Simon Lake. He was a Navy Veteran of W.W. II, a member of Temple Emmanuel Church of Christ, Bridgeport and S.A.G.E , a graduate program of Gateway Community College He is survived by two daughters Jane Kendall and her husband Ralph of Colorado Springs, CO., and Jewell Cogan of Norwalk, Ohio, a sister Mildred Golia of CA, and six grandchildren. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by brothers Robert and Louis Paquet and sister Bernice White. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held in Kings Highway Cemetery Milford on Saturday June 30th at 10:00 am. The arrangements are in the care of Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., “On the Green” Milford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Temple Emmanuel Church 515 Union Ave Bpt,. CT. 06610 , Vitas Hospice 777 Commerce Dr. Fairfield, CT 06825 or the Geriatric Clinic of the US Veterans Hospital 950 Campbell Ave., West Haven, CT 06516.
