Louis Giordano

Louis Geremia Giordano, age 95, of Milford, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012 in Milford Hospital. He was born on January 27, 1917 in San Vincenzo, La Costa, Italy to the late Pasquale and Maria Asta Giordano. He served in the Italian Army during WWII. He moved to America in 1956 and before retiring, he was employed by the Milford Board of Education as a custodian. Mr. Giordano is survived by his dedicated sons Egidio “Gino” Giordano and his wife Carolyn of Milford and Frank Giordano and his wife Irene of Winslow, Maine, sister Lucia Fallico of San Vincenzo, Italy, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife Gemma Giordano. Calling hours are Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 4 to 8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 18th at 10:30am in St. Mary’s Church, Gulf St., Milford. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
