Madeline Gelgauda Obituary

Madeline Lister Gelgauda of Milford entered into eternal rest on March 25, 2009. She was the widow of Vincent Gelgauda. Born in Northfield, CT, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Leila Lister of Devon, and predeceased by sisters Grace Voorhees, Helen Lodge, Leila Cole, and brother Gilbert Lister. During her life Mrs. Gelgauda was employed by several firms, including Waterbury Lock, Schick, and Westport Development. She was a member of the Milford Senior Center, B-Club, Margaret Tatta’s Tappers, and was an original member of the B-Liner dance group. She also was a longtime member of the First United Church of Christ, Congregational, and the Bridgeport Moose Club. She is survived by a son, Richard Gelgauda and his wife Julie, of Wallingford; and daughters Nancy Chimini Roberto and her husband Tony, of Milford, and Sally Phillips Kling and her husband Allan, of Sydney, Australia; her beloved grandson, Christopher Chimini of Milford; and granddaughters Carly and Tara Kling of Sydney. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am June 3, 2009 in the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home 135 Broad St. Milford.
