Margaret Taylor Obituary

Margaret Witko Taylor, age 96, widow of John F. Taylor, died Saturday, October 02, 2010. She was born in Dickson City, PA, on July 15, 1914, the daughter of the late Andrew and Maria Matala Witko. After graduating from Dickson City High School in 1932, she worked in Pennsylvania until just before WWII, when she moved to Bridgeport. She married John Taylor, July 31, 1943. Moving to Milford in 1956, she raised her two children: John Jr. and Deirdre. She worked at Milford Automatics for 13 years before retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Milford Seniors Club C for years and bowled in the Senior leagues. Other survivors besides her children include a son-in-law, Daniel Pramuka and grandson, Christopher Pramuka, also two sisters Josephine Sowinski of Troy, NY and Elizabeth Murray of Falls Church, VA. She was predeceased by brothers: Stephen, Andrew, George, Joseph, William and Anthony: and sisters; Mary Shipnewski, Cecelia Witko, Agnes Meehan and Cecelia Orr. Friends may call Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford from 10:00am to 11:30am with a Prayer Service at 11:30. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in her name to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 71 River St., Milford, CT 06460.
