I've only known Marv Through basketball since 1999, but I feel like I knew him much longer. He made that kind of impression on me. He was always a gentle "giant" on and off the court.I was moved further by the out pouring of love and affection shown by his family and friends at the memorial service. It was a pleasure to have known such a good guy. Thank you Garnett children. Bob Litzie

In the short time I knew Marv, he was very funny and wonderful to talk with. He had a way of making people feel right at home, with his stories, and loved his family so much. A person like that, I consider a teacher in this life. It was an honor to know him. I wish all of the family peace and healing in this time of transition.

"This world is not an ending. A sequel stands beyond. Invisible as music, but as positive as sound". Shine on, Marv. I'm wearing the smile you gave me.
