Matilda A. Piompino, age 88 of Milford, passed away May 3, 2017 at Milford Hospital surrounded by her devoted daughters. Matilda was born in New York, April 16, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Licata. She was a self-employed seamstress and delighted in crocheting. She was also a member of the Milford Senior Center where she enjoyed volunteering at many activities and programs. She is survived by her daughters, Rosemary Seto and her husband Steve of Florida, and Lida Piompino and her husband Nelson Kwok of Fairfield; and her grandchildren, Matthew, Jesse, and Taryn Seto, and Skyler Kwok. Calling hours will be held Monday, May 8th from 4pm to 7pm in the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Milford Senior Center, 9 Jepson Dr., Milford, CT 06460.
