Maureen Ann Ferreira, age 57, a long time Milford resident , passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born on October 20, 1950 in Scranton, PA., to Evelyn Melley McAloon of Glastonbury and the late Francis McAloon. Ms. Ferreira formerly worked in the admitting department of Milford Hospital and was a beloved member of the Devon Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was also active in the Multiple Sclerosis Support Group of Milford Hospital. In addition to her mother she is survived by her devoted children, William R. Ferreira and Stacy Whitlock of Milford, Colleen and husband Joseph Reed of Niantic, Danial P. Ferreira of Milford, a brother Patrick Michael McAloon and wife Betsy McAloon of Mlfd, sisters Kathleen and husband Robert Davidson of Easton, Colleen and husband Barry Morris of Glastonbury, Erin Grace and husband John Troy of Mlfd, Leona Jefferson of Plymouth, NC. Calling hours will be Saturday, from 4-8pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A service will take place at 1:00 pm prior to the calling hours at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 210 Old Grassy Hill Rd. Orange, CT . Interment will be private.
